Six lucky travelers will be heading to some of Myanmar’s most exciting emerging destinations thanks to a prize .com draw announced today by hotel booking engine Agoda, regional airline Bangkok Airways, and MyanmarBurma.com, a Myanmar travel advice and booking site.

Prizes include two night stays in three of Myanmar’s finest hotels: the Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake in Yangon, the Yadanarbon Hotel in Mandalay and the Royal Naypyitaw, in Myanmar’s capital city Naypyitaw.

The prizes also include free flights from Bangkok, the main air hub to Myanmar, with Bangkok Airways, the region’s leading boutique airline.

Contestants are able to enter the prize draw at MyanmarBurma.com/contest.

The contest has been announced to celebrate the new partnership between Agoda, Bangkok Airways and MyanmarBurma.com, as well as mark the opening of Bangkok Airways new route from Bangkok to Mandalay.

With recent developments in the long-isolated country, Myanmar is fast becoming South East Asia’s emerging travel hotspot and is particularly appealing for high-end travelers, families, romantic couples vacations and honeymoons.

The country’s many attractions include stunning yet peaceful beaches, ancient heritage and archeological sites and a famously warm and welcoming culture, all of which remains unspoiled and undiscovered, and offers a uniquely authentic experience for visitors.

Kevin McKenzie, of MyanmarBurma.com, said: “Myanmar is by far the most exciting destination in Asia right now. It has all the beauty, history and culture of the more popular South East Asian countries but with none of the region’s crowds and oversaturated tourism industries. Now is definitely the time to visit and we’re looking forward to showing our six winning contestants everything this beautiful country has to offer.”

Ariya Prasarttong-Osoth, Bangkok Airways’ Vice President of Sales, said: “We are proud to announce the launch of our new direct service, Bangkok to Mandalay. We see the growth of this city as yet another sign of Myanmar’s rising prominence for travelers to South East Asia. Bangkok is the most convenient hub for most flights connecting to Myanmar and we are pleased to work with Myanmarburma.com to help bring more visitors to Myanmar from Thailand and beyond.”

Savitri Ramyarupa, Managing Director of Chatrium Hotels & Residences adds, “The Chatrium Hotels & Residences has an ongoing long-term commitment towards the growth of Myanmar’s hotel and hospitality industry, delivering a true local experience of comfort and service excellence that meet the needs of business visitors as well as leisure travelers from around the globe.  As Kipling remarked, Myanmar is ‘quite unlike any land you know about’, and indeed the amazing charm and energy of this remarkable country and its people are increasingly captivating the world. We firmly believe in Myanmar’s tremendous potential and are proud to be a part of its development outlook.”
