Auction for a Traditional Nantucket Fishing Getaway

The Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce is launching an auction promoting the island’s historical landmarks, remarkable natural beauty, and the local small businesses of Nantucket, Massachusetts.

Your family or party of four will arrive on the island via Cape Air, where you will stay in a petite cottage maintained by the renowned Nantucket Island Resorts, overlooking charming Nantucket Harbor.

A welcome bag of goodies from the Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce member merchants will be given, including gift certificates to the islands independent bookstore. An intimate dinner cooked by owner-chef Chris Freeman will be served at the Oran Mor Bistro that Friday night. After breakfast the next day, you’ll board The Albacore sport fishing vessel. Guide and owner-captain, Bob Decosta will take you and your family on a fun filled day of sport fishing. After a day on the water, private chef Dean Miller, of Fusion of Flavor catering, will prepare a specialized menu featuring the fruits of your labor that day (or fresh fish from the market if your crew was unlucky).

Sunday you will go on a leisurely biking tour of the historic sites on the island with Nantucket Bike Tours, accompanied with its founder Jason Bridges. Along the way, you’ll take a pit stop at Nantucket’s Cisco Brewers adjacent to Nantucket Vineyard, winery and distillery. That afternoon you will depart on the magical Gray Lady ferry, from what is sure to be a relaxing and memorable weekend.

The bids are being posted on ebay, and there are only five days left so don’t delay!
